It's 1972. Dick Nixon's having conversations he'll live to regret. The finishing touches are being put on An American Family (which will eventually lead to such boob-tube wonders as Elimidate and The Anna Nicole Show). And in midtown New York, director Cecil Hudson is cobbling together a ragtag group of New York thespians for a one-night-only performance of Tennessee Williams' latest work to benefit Creative, Responsible Artists Against Alcoholism and Pleurosis (CRAAAP).
Unfortunately, Cecil gets more than he bargained for--much more! For starters, his cast is rife with personality conflicts grand enough to make the US Senate look like Up With People. Then, on the Big Night, actors turn up missing during the performance--and worse! Who is to blame for the backstage bump-offs? And will any of these divas still be standing come curtain call? You'll shriek with fright and delight at I Suddenly Know What You Did Last Summer!, whipped up by Running With Scissors as a fringe production for the Tennessee Williams/New Orleans Literary Festival.
I Suddenly Know What You Did Last Summer! runs from March 21 through April 12 at the Shim Sham Club, 615 Toulouse Street, in the French Quarter.
